Hello!

I'm glad you came to read my first blog post! I'm still learning how to do this and I'm not even sure what I want to do as a topic yet soo... 

Here's some food pictures that I took about a week or two ago! These are from Shiro's Saimin in Aiea! I was so excited to eat here since it was my first time. Also, I was really hungry so I wanted like the fastest thing on the menu. However, all the food came at once so  it didn't really matter.

Does any of this look familiar? Probably not. I'm not the best at taking photos. 

I will say that I love the atmosphere of this place. It gave this comfy home vibe that you would get if you were eating homemade cooking with your family. The service here was really good, especially for the hard times we are currently living in! The food did take a while for it to arrive, but the lady explained that she was the one doing the cooking and being a server. I know how that feels. 

My Opinion on the Food

As much as this iconic place is really popular, I think it could of just been my choices that I made, but I think the food was okay. I'm not taking this off my list though, I would go back to try the other stuff they have! 

(5/10) ~ I wasn't really a fan of the onion rings. I think it could just been that they were overcooked, but they were pretty hard for me to eat. I'm not even sure why I ordered them haha. 

(8/10) ~ The hamburger steak was really good! I like that the hamburger steak came with corn since I think a lot of places does macaroni salad, which I am not a fan of but anyway. It definitely taste homemade and the gravy. The gravy was definitely something else! It was really good. I don't know how else to describe it. 

(7/10) ~ Okay, the saimin was something I was really looking forward to since the place is named after it! I loved how it didn't feel heavy or salty. But I do feel it is a common taste that I get. I eat saimin with garnishes a lot at different places and I feel it wasn't something that stood out to me. I guess I ordered the wrong thing since I know a lot of people praise the saimin this place makes... 

All in all, I had a great time and the food was good. I would definitely recommend trying this place though!
